Our History

The beers of BarbaRoja are produced by a family-run company which began preparing this tasty craft beer in 2001, in Escobar, Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the beginning the mission was to develop a high-quality beer, with many different beer varieties and combinations, enabling BarbaRoja to satisfy more demanding consumers and connoisseurs all over the world requesting different kinds of beers.

BarbaRoja, which literally means Red Beard, is a premium Argentinian beer that stands out for its wide range of flavors and styles. The quality of the product has made other gourmet retail shops and restaurants want to include this beer in their shelves and menues. This great Argentinian beer turns out to be an exotic product because of its different kind of beers: Some of them very unique, such as the “Floral” beer containing natural extracts of flowers.

The company is located in Escobar, 50 km north of the Buenos Aires, which is a strategic location on the route of Mercosur. The company has an area of 16.000 mts2 where in addition to the factory, a resort with a restaurant, a gift store, and a park with other attractions, is constantly adding new features.

The factory has one of the most modern and innovative facilities in terms of microbreweries in the country - without losing the magic of quality craftsmanship. Strict quality control processes guarantee high-end beers made with selected domestic and imported raw materials, resulting in a final product of unrivaled quality and presentation.
